Why are your prescription prices so
low? The Canadian government limits how
much pharmaceutical manufacturers can charge for
brand-name drugs when they are approved and caps
subsequent price increases. As well, the currency
exchange rate stretches your dollar even further. Each
U.S Dollar is worth approximately $1.50 in Canadian
Dollars
How much money will I
save? Our customers save on
average 55%, which can amount to hundreds of dollars
each year.
Are all drugs less expensive in
Canada? No. The
majority are less expensive, but there are
exceptions.
How does the quality of Canadian
medications compare to American
medications? The
Canadian government has very strict requirements for the
manufacturing of medication in Canada. These
requirements are very similar to the requirements in the
US. Some of the the drugs sold in Canada are actually
manufactured in the US and repackaged for sale in
Canada. Generic medications are all manufactured in
Canada under Canada's stringent
requirements.
Can you fill prescriptions from
American doctors? Yes we
can once a Canadian doctor has reviewed your "chart" and
approved the prescription under his/her Canadian
license
Are all American drugs
available? Not all
drugs available in the United States are available in
Canada...
Why do some drugs have different
names in Canada? These are trade or brand names
registered by the manufacturer. In different countries
manufacturers will often use different trade names. The
medications have the same active ingredients, but may
look different and have a different trade name. (For
example Prilosec (U.S.) and Losec (Canada), or Augmentin
(U.S.) and Clavulin (Canada)).
What is the difference between a
brand name drug and a Generic drug? A generic drug is a medication for which
the original manufacturer has lost patent protection.
Because of this, other manufacturers are allowed to
produce and sell the exact medication at a lower more
competitive price. The generic drug is the exact same
medication as the original brand name drug, simply made
by another company. Due to strict regulations on the
generic drug industry, these drugs must provide the same
therapeutic effect as the brand name
drug.
Can I buy Valium, Tylenol #3 or
similar medications from your pharmacy? No, we legally cannot ship any narcotic
or controlled substance across the border. We also will
not sell any habit forming medications.
Why can CanadianMEDS.com
only fill a prescription for a maximum of 3
months? Due to
regulations put into place by the FDA, American citizens
are only allowed to import a maximum of 3 months worth
of medication for personal use. Any amount above this 3
month limit is not considered "personal
use".
Is there a limit on how much I can
buy? Yes, you may
purchase only a maximum of a 3 month supply of each of
your medications. Provided that you have a valid
prescription for that supply of medication. If your
physician writes a prescription for more than a 3 month
supply then we can fill those refills as they come
due.
Is the dispensing fee charged for
each prescription? Our dispensing fees are included in our
prices.
Will you accept my insurance
policy? Unfortunately, the insurance plans are
not set up to accept claims from a foreign pharmacy. You
will be issued a receipt with your prescription that you
may submit to your insurance company, but there are no
guarantees whether you can be reimbursed or
not.
What do you accept for payment?
At CanadianMEDS.com, we accept VISA, MasterCard, and personal checks.

CanadianMEDS.com, our
goal is to get your medications processed within 5
business days, and 7-10 business days for shipping.
Sometimes, this process can be slowed down slightly
if:
- We have to contact your doctor

prescription. Sometimes your local pharmacy or doctor
may not get back to us right away, and this will
therefore slow down the process.
- Your credit card information is
inaccurate or incomplete. Always ensure that you copy
down your credit card information accurately, and
ensure that all the fields are completed when filling
in our on-line forms.
-
Your credit card company denies
the purchase because it is from a foreign company.
Sometimes as a security measure, credit card companies
will
deny purchases that are made in a foreign country
if they can tell that you haven't traveled there
recently. It helps if you are able to speak to your
credit card company to let them know that a purchase
from CanadianPrescriptionSavers.com will be going
through on your credit card, so that they will know to
permit this purchase.

follow all applicable laws. The law states: The
Pharmacist shall not accept the return for use or re-use
of any portion of any drug or non-prescription
medication We cannot accept returns, however all orders
erroneously shipped will be reimbursed or refilled
correctly. |
